Hi! My name is Jill and I am the founder of The New England Edit, a page dedicated to showcasing all of the wonderful facets of New England travel and lifestyle. I have lived in New England my entire life, growing up in a small town in New Hampshire and spending my childhood summers in Maine. Rhode Island has been home now for the past 10 years, but northern New England still holds a special place in my heart.
I created this page to share my passion for New England travel and lifestyle inspired by publications like Yankee Magazine, that first sparked these interests in me as a teenager. On this blog, you’ll find curated travel guides to the region’s most scenic spots, as well as style tips and lifestyle inspiration perfect for everything from crisp autumn hikes to cozy New England brunches. Join me as I share my adventures through both travel and personal style, all inspired by the beauty and charm of New England.
my experience
My background is mainly in luxury hospitality. I took a leap of faith in my early 20s and moved for a job working as a Reservations Agent at a boutique hotel in Newport, Rhode Island. I have always been the go to person amongst my family and friends when it comes to planning vacations, so I figured this would be the perfect job for me. Over the course of my time at this hotel, I ended up wearing many hats; however, my passion was always helping travelers plan their perfect New England vacation.
I want to be able to use the New England Edit to grow a community of people who are also passionate about New England lifestyle and travel.
